GlossyBox: July 2016

This months Glossybox is full of pretty little bits, all full sized, so i couldn't wait to show you. Let's get started :)

First up, the Utan and tone nourishing night Creme which is basically a gradual tan for your face and neck that you apply at night. It also has lots of good stuff-hyaluronic acid, vitamins and anti-oxidants-in your skin so that you can narrow it down to just one product. I'm not sure on the 'full size' idea because it only has 25ml which seems pretty small, but i'll let you know how i get on.

Next, some anti-perspirant which i couldn't exactly say i was super excited for when i first saw it. However, this is from Soft and Gentle and is called the Hair Minimise which claims to reduce hair growth, seems pretty interesting. It doesn't smell omg delicious, but it doesn't smell bad, if you get what i mean. One thing i can say is that i love how pink the can is, pretty!
Price // £2.99
Mascara is one of my staple products, so when i saw the Icona Milano emotion allowed mascara, I was excited to see what it was like. The packaging is pretty simple, black and white with just a little pattern and the brush doesn't seem to be any to much either with a synthetic brush. It is waterproof which can either mean it will not come off, ever, or it stays put all day despite rain and tears, we'll see what it is like!
Price // £13.04
Shop // www.iconamilano.nl > this isn't the same as the link on the Glossybox card, that didn't work, but i hope this one does!

I have a tangle teaser and honestly, it's the best hair brush i have ever used. It doesn't leave my hair feeling all dry which is essential seeing as my hair is thick and curly. However, they are quite expensive, but this one, which is the Hairon de-tangle brush looks like a pretty good alternative. It is a really pretty colour and i can't wait to see if it is as good as my tangle teaser!
Price // £6.99
Shop // www.hairon.co.uk

Finally, the Blank canvas F20 flat brush. Brushes are one of my favourite things to recieve, this one is super pretty and pink, what more could you ask for from a brush? It is really soft and is apparantly great for liquid foundation, but i feel like it is not dense enough, i'll keep you updated!
Price // £11.95

And that was everything for this month, what did you think? Did you get Glossybox this month? Let me know :)
See ya!

GlossyBox: June 2016

Back to doing the usual what's in my Glossybox type of post, finally. Hope you enjoy :)

Sorry, but the box was packed full of lovely things this month which i found difficult to picture without it looking messy, haha!

The first product is the Spa to you, Konjac sponge which didn't, along with everything else, photograph to well. It's apparantly the new trend from Japan and Korea and is made from the natural fibres of the Konjac and is known for it's ability to hold water. It will clean your skin without requiring added product, but you can add your favourite cleanser if you'd like to! With no added colour or chemicals, it is perfect for sensitive skin, so it seems, super excited to give this a go and i'll keep you updated on what i think!
Shop at spatoyou.com
Price £6.99

Next up, the Origins GinZing energy-boosting moisturizer which, let's start off by saying, smells so so good-basically like Terry's chocolate orange. On to the actual product itself, i am excited to give this a go as i have been looking for a new moisturizer and this sounds perfect as it is lightweight and oil free. As it is also energy-boosting, i can imagine this would be nice in the mornings to wake you up when feeling a little tired.
Price £24

Third product: De Bruyere After sun lotion Monoi. This also smell lovely and may come in handy for the Summer months *says this whilst it is basically constantly raining in the UK*. I'd love to review this, but i'm not sure it will come in handy at the moment. Apparently the Monoi and Vitamin E will hydrate and nourish the skin, sounds like this will do the job. Oh, and it's paraben and silicone free.

Price £9.48

Fourth product: Sun Protection Spray SPF 15. Although the SPF isn't high, this offers protection against four types of UV rays, is non greasy, water resistant, perfume free and suitable for sensitive and eczema-prone skin and skin types prone to prickly heat and sun allergies. This sounds really good as i usually get prickly heat all over my chest and it is so painful! Can't wait to give this a try when i'm in the sun.

Price £19.99

Last, but not least, my favourite item form this month's box: Emite Make Up lip and cheek tint. This is a two in one red lip and cheek tint that looks comparable to Benetint. I'm not the biggest fan of tints or stains as i feel like they can go very patchy very easily, but it is always nice to give things a go. It washes off fairly easily, but it isn't stating that it won't, so i can't hold that against it. The pacaging is pretty, it is like a ombre with the frosted black detail. Only problem is, black makes everything look dusty, like all the time. But still, good first impressions, i'll keep you updated.

Price £12.50

Bonus Product! Aussie 5 minute miracle reconstructor deep conditioner. This is for damaged hair which is my hair type in nutshell. I don't even use too much heat on my hair, but still it goes fluffy and dry-especially seeing as it's curly. Such an essential to have a the moment, thanks GlossyBox! p.s just lost the card, have no idea of the price and location of where to buy this, sorry!

That's all for this month! I hope you enjoyed seeing all of the bits and bobs, did you get GlossyBox this month? If so, what did you get? and, what did you think? :)

See ya!

The Beauty Tag

I was recently tagged by Hannah from hannah-daisyd.blogspot.co.uk. I love Hannah's blog, she's amazing at makeup and all of her blog posts and pictures are just so pretty, so definitely go and have a look at her blog if you haven't already. Hope you enjoy seeing what my answers are to all the questions!

Hannah's questions:

What is your favourite high street makeup brand?
There are so many for different reasons. If i had to choose one though, it would be Kiko. It's not your average counter found in Superdrug or Boots as it has its own store, but the prices are definitely high street.

What is your favourite high end makeup brand?
I'm not sure if it classes as high end because the prices are really quite reasonable for the quality of their products, but i love Benefit. Their packaging and product range is on point and they currently have so many items on my wishlist.

One item of makeup you couldn't live without?
I couldn't live without mascara, i feel like it makes you look so much more awake and makes you look 'put together' even if you aren't. What's yours?

What's your go to makeup look?
Usually i'm in a rush which means my go to look is the basics: mascara, foundation and concealer. My new faves are the Revlon All in one mascara (what's in my GlossyBox, coming soon) and my concealer and foundation favorites are linked in this post.

Do you have a skincare routine?
Kind of. I use a the Nivea daily essentials gentle exfoliating scrub once a week and have many a oil and cream to make my skin feel super smooth, but other than that, i'm not good with that stuff. Got any recommendations to add to my routine?

What's the biggest makeup mistake you've made?
I think this is quite cliche, but the wrong foundation shade or eyebrows that are too dark; apparently i can't judge the shade of colours very well.

What is the most underrated makeup product you own?
My Essence long lasting lipstick in the shade 'Natural Beauty'. I can't stop going on about it i love it so much, but i am yet to find at least one person who shares the same amount of love for this lipstick! Back in December i actually did a post about it, here it is if you would like to hear more.

Bright or nude lip? Matte or gloss?
Personally, i prefer a matte nude lip. I think darker, brown/mauve colours suit me best and matte because that's my current obsession, i bet it will change in about a month, haha.

Do you have a skincare routine? Unlike me, oops
What makeup product has disappointed you the most?

Current Favourites: Concealer and Foundation

I've finally found my favourite concealer and foundation duo which i thought i'd share with you.

Foundation

This is the L'Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte mattifying infallible foundation in the shade '11 Vanilla'. It says that it has a high coverage, but i'd say it starts off at about a medium, but you can build it to be full. I just love the way that it doesn't cake up and go orange on me. In terms of how long it stays matte, i would definitely say that it lasts really well, but i do not have particularly oily skin in the first place so this could vary. It doesn't feel too heavy on the skin, for the coverage it gives, and i am in love with the packaging because you can get every last little bit of product out. It comes with 35ml which, for comparison, seems to be slightly more than most other drugstore foundations. I definitely think this is worth the £8.99 price tag, i'd suggest to pick it up on 3 for 2 in Superdrug, but if you would like purchase this online, you can do so here (Very).

Concealer
After hearing everyone talk about this for, what seems like, years, i finally decided to pick it up and...i loves it. It doesn't sit in fine lines under the eye and looks really natural, whilst still concealing. It can be worn alone if you just want to hide dark circles and doesn't look obvious. Honestly, not much more to say. It's only £5.99 on Feel Unique which, to me, is an indication that you need it in your life because it's not a crazy amount, especially for if you don't end up really liking it. I hope you do though!

And, those are my favorite little face products at the moment. What foundation and or, or concealer have you been loving at the moment?

See ya!

GlossyBox: March 2016

GlossyBox arrived! And, seriously, i couldn't be more excited to show you :)

First, this product has been one i have been meaning to buy for the longest time. It's the (super pretty) collection Speedy Highlighter in the Shade number 1: Pearl sheen. After swatching i can already tell that it is really creamy and adds the most gorgeous glow, i'm super excited to give this a go! The only bad thing about this is that you don't really get a lot of product which kind of reflects the price.
Full sized product
Price: £3.99
Just a little note, if you are looking to buy this, it is currently £2.99 on Superdrug.com.

The Hey Honey good morning facial serum looks so nice and i am honestly looking forward to adding this to my routine. It says it is for all skin types, can be applied at night, in the day time and under makeup, and claims it will provide a smooth and glossy appearance to your skin. If you haven't had a little clue by the name of the product, it contains honey which sounds real nice as i know a lot of face masks made with honey and they are really good for your skin.
Use the code HoneyUK for 10%, your welcome :)

Next is the prettiest pink brush with rose gold metal brush and fluffy, soft bristles-this brush is from Luxie beauty. Not much more to be said apart from that although this one's beautiful, it feels a little flimsy and not too dense. This exact brush is the Rose Gold large (not all too large to be honest) angled face brush.
Full sized product
Price: £10.41
Shop at: www.luxiebeauty.com

To be honest, i'm not so happy about this one it's the tiniest 7ml sample of the Olay Regenerist luminous skin tone perfecting cream which i never seem to use anything like this because it is so small and by the time  go round to using it, I've lost it. It does sound good though as it claims to hydrate, exfoliate and smooth the skin to give you a healthy, glowing complexion. You can use this both morning and evening.
Travel sized product
Price: £29.99
Shop at: www.olay.co.uk

Finally, another little travel sized product, but this one is a little more generous. This is the minus 417 conditioner and shampoo. They have the most gergeous, yet a little tacky (not going to lie), packaging with gold for the shampoo and silver for the conditioner. With 40ml each, they are perfect for travel, but also a perfect sample to use one-or possibly two-times to decide whether you love it or loathe it!
Travel sized product
Price: £16.89 woah

That was all for this month, already getting excited for next month, especially looking at the sneak peak. Let me know if you got GlossyBox this month and what you think.

What's your favourite this month?

See ya!

Lipstick pretties

My favourite lipsticks are extremely similar and easy to wear, but, still, i thought i'd share the little gems. All are highly recommended, obvs...considering their my faves.

Swatches...

First, the first ever mac lipstick i got, a while ago now to be honest, is called 'peach blossom'. It is a creamsheen finish which leaves your lips feeling moisturized. It is super easy to chuck on and doesn't require too much effort. I love this so much, and wish to own a good amount of cremesheen finishes from mac because they are so pretty.  You can get this one on maccosmetics.co.uk for £15.00, which isn't really bad for a lipstick you can almost guarantee is going to become a favourite.

'picnic in the afternoon' from Revlon is one that is slightly cheaper. It is a super pretty 'your lips but better' shade that is a true pink. The Revlon packaging feels super luxurious and amazing quality with a little 'window' in the top so you can easily see the shade. i definitely want to try more from Revlon because they're really high quality and look stunning. This is only £7.99 from superdrug.com.

Finally, the Essence long lasting lipstick in 'Natural beauty', this one is a deep pink that gives the lips a wash of colour. The pigmention is really good for the price and i love thelittle ring of colour that matches the shade of the lipstick on the packaging. It fades nicely as well as it doesn't go patchy. On the wilko website they are £2.30, i'm not sure where else you can buy essence other than here :)

Are you in love?

See ya!
